Ice Adventure: A Journey Through Frozen Scotland

Family in town last week meant doing all the Christmassy things we could so the Ice Adventure, part of Edinburgh's Christmas many events, on George Street was a must!

The Ice Adventure: A Journey Through Frozen Scotland is a display of a number of huge ice sculptures of some of Edinburgh's and Scotland's most famous mystical and historical figures. They really are quite beautiful to see up close and despite the temperature inside being -10°c it is so worth it, just wrap up warm! We were really impressed with the sculptures and how detailed and intricate they all are. An added bonus inside the venue is the Ice Bar serving both regular hot drinks and some that are just a little stronger. I admit though that we chickened out of staying in there for too long once we'd seen everything and so opted for a hot drink in the (slightly) warmer Christmas markets outside.

Here are just a few of my personal favourites from the sculptures.

Forth Rail Bridge

Nessie

Greyfriars Bobby

If you want to see these amazing ice sculptures for yourself, you'd better be quick and book those tickets as the display closes on the 24 December 2017.
